Aida Ahari – Class of 2017
Hometown: Tabriz, Iran Birthday: October 15 I am Azari-Iranian ! I am only child!! I enjoy shopping, cooking, and playing tennis. Most of the time I have to think how I can skype with my parents!!!I haven’t seen them since I came to the United States, so on Saturdays and Sundays morning I spend my time for talking with my parents! My favorite restaurant in the United States is Cheese Cake Factory and my favorite street for walking and shopping is Wisconsin Ave because it is more convenience.
Erik Anderson – Class of 2018
Hometown: Long Beach, CA Birthday: January 25. I am CBG (Chill Black Guy) who grew up in Southern California but prefers not to go to the beach. Graduated from California State University of Long Beach with degree in Biology. Definitely not an only child (have a Sister; wouldn’t know the first thing on how to be one). Enjoy scouring the internet looking at pictures of well dressed people all the while digging for new music and amazing deals on clothing and shoes (try hard to not be about that “paying the retail price” life). I have a pretty overt passion for style, so much so that in a different life I probably would’ve been humble tailor/menswear shop owner (or maybe that’s still up for debate.). My favorite color is Black which also ties into some of favorite brands to date (Chapter and Public School; honorable mention color: White, Navy Blue). Oh yeah when I am not in total hypebeast mode, I also like watch anime and basketball, run, and play video games.
Roderick Covington – Class of 2018
Hometown: Baldwin (Long Island), NY Birthday: 08/20. I was born in Queens, New York and raised on Long Island. I have three younger sisters, two of them are twins. My favorite food is pizza (one of the best foods ever created). My favorite color is blue, but I’m a Jets fan. I’ve been to multiple Knicks and Yankees games, there’s nothing like it, it’s a very surreal scene. When I’m not studying I like to hang out with friends and family, listen to old school jazz and R&B music, and just relax while I reflect on life (and the travails of pharmacy school). My favorite shows to watch are Forensic Files, New York Undercover (classic), and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.I’ve had the opportunity to see multiple plays in New York City. Once, Oprah Winfrey sat right behind me while watching the play Julius Caesar starring Denzel Washington (aka Detective Alonzo Harris). One interesting fact about me is this is my second time being in DC; I went to American University (go Eagles!) as an undergraduate.

I love to travel, eat, watch dramas/movies and ZUMBA although I am not good. I have a toy poodle called chocolate! One interest thing about myself is that I used to ride a unicycle!!
Justin Foster – Class of 2018
Hometown: Ft. Lauderdale, FL Birthday: November 4th. My name is Justin Lamar Foster and I was in Long Island, New York up until I was ten years old before moving to Florida. I am the oldest of four children. Both of my parents were registered nurses while I was in high school so I always felt being involved in healthcare was a main career option. One interesting fact about me includes the fact that I actually received my Associates of Arts Degree (May 2012) before even receiving my high school diploma (June 2012). Outside of school, I really like watching movies to pass the time by and I’m very interested in fashion and art as a whole. I also ran track and played basketball in high school but chose to stop as I began to focus more on academics. I believe I am very social and a lot of the times where you observe me to be quite it’s typically because I’m deep in thought not just on school but about life in general and potential ideas for the future. I personally chose this picture below for I believe it captures what and who I truly am; a humble and ambitious young man who’s always making the most of the opportunity given.
Bryanna Gray – Class of 2018
Hometown: Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland Birthday: April 19 (Aries) My name is Bryanna Gabrielle Elouise Gray. I was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey and despite being a military kid (interesting fact) I despise being called a “Military Brat”. I love the fine arts especially as it relates to poetry, painting, music and dance. I started playing the clarinet when I was 9, and at 17 I had the pleasure of being selected to play in Beijing, China as a salute to the 2008 Olympics. One of my favorite past times is to cuddle and watch TV as I eat Chinese food or pizza of course. However on occasion I like to go out and “shake a tail feather.” My favorite color is Green, my favorite food is seafood and I love Chinese Buffets =) I worked at TD Bank for four years, so I’m certain I can help you with your finances. I am one of three children and I land right in the middle. During my time at Howard as an Undergraduate I took four semesters of Japanese, and I would love to travel there one day.

I’ve been working at a pharmacy for six years and I have shadowed several types of pharmacist. I believe I want to further my career after completing my PharmD by completing a residency. Interesting Fact: I was an art teacher at a christian after school program for children from the ages of 6 to 12.
Micah Johnson – Class of 2018
Hometown: Ridgeland, MS Birthday: June 27. I’m a simple man who enjoys calm evenings, sunsets, and moonlit strolls in the summer – in all the non-cliché ways. The things I miss most about my home are my family and seeing the stars at night. I am an avid napper and would pit my prowess against anyone. I’m very laid-back, and I don’t like to be taken out of that state of mind in a negative fashion. Whatever I do with my life, pharmacy or otherwise, I want to help people. My goal is to have left a net positive on the world when I’m no longer an active part of it. I love music, but the time and interest in various manners of expression of that love experience ebbs and flows. I started DJing as a hobby\job in January of 2011, and I have enjoyed a variety of invaluable experiences from it. I learned how to conduct business for myself on my terms (an avenue in which I hope to grow), and I made a variety of connections. I recently picked up music production as another hobby. I look forward to the opportunity to each day make progress.
Clara Kim – Class of 2018
Hometown: Seoul, Republic of Korea Birthday: 08/22. I was born in Seoul, Republic of Korea and immigrated to the United States thirteen years ago. I love to walk, eat cakes and pastries and drink black coffee. Sometimes, I walk to Baked & Wired in Georgetown to have cupcakes and a cup of coffee and walk back. I have to have three meals regularly. If I don’t, I become impatient with myself and other people. I rarely go out for drinks because my face gets red as soon as I drinks alcohol and I doze off anywhere. I like to watch Korean shows which helps me to relieve the stress. If I kept smile while watching the laptop monitor, my classmates know that what I am doing. One interesting fact about me is that I am an identical twin. So if I don’t greet or give a hug to any of you in California, she is not me. It will be my twin sister!
Kyle Leung – Class of 2018
Hometown: Concord, CA Birthday: October 28. Born in Hong Kong, I was raised in the Bay Area in California. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Biochemistry and minor in Biology. I have a younger brother who is studying pre-pharmacy at University of Arizona. Since moving to Arizona in 2009, I rarely saw my friends from California so every chance I get I would go visit them. I like to eat all sorts of foods, but dimsum is da best. One of my favorite things to do is watch sports or my TV shows. I watch GOT, walking dead, suits, friends, HIMYM, big bang theory, and the office (my fave!). Music has definitely grown on me for the past couple of years and it has gotten me through late nights of studying. My favorite band is Maroon 5; favorite rapper is Kid Ink; favorite genre is EDM. I like to laugh and joke around a lot because laughter always makes everything better, but I know when to be serious. I tend to be very patient and open minded, and highly tolerant to criticism and negativity. I want to learn how to code like Obama and I play Clash of Clans. One interesting fact: I have bowled 2003 times in my life.
Bini Mathew – Class of 2018
Hometown: India/ Orlando, Florida Birthday: 04-19. I am Bini Mathew and I am from Kochi, India. I moved with my parents to the US in 2006. I am the middle one of the three kids. Moving to the US was not one of my dreams and it was such a shocker for me. But growing out of the obstacles I realized to take life as it comes by and make the most out of it. One thing I loved to do since childhood was playing shuttle badminton and performing dance. Dance is one of my passions and somewhere down the line, I wanted to learn contemporary dance style. I like to travel, cook, learn to bake cakes, try new DIY projects. Though stressful, I like having a lot of things to do so that I manage my time wisely, be more focused and productive. If you don’t see me in group study session, it is only because I am more focused when I am alone and in silence. I like doing things that gives the Adrenaline rush like riding roller coaster, scuba diving, bungee jumping, skydiving (will be doing soon). Christmas is my favorite time and I enjoy walking around the city at night watching the lights. Strawberry milkshake is my favorite. I love and will whole-heartedly consume ANY pasta dish! I consider myself to be both super girly and a tomboy. My super girly side enjoys shopping for clothes, shoes and make-up. And enjoys occasional movie night sleepovers! My tomboy side is very much into fitness and sports. I graduated in 2012 from University of Oklahoma (alma mater of wonderful WCC 🙂 w/ a degree in Biology. I like to travel; I’ve been to more than half of the states and to Asia (Japan/Taiwan) but looking to travel more in the future. I love to laugh and eat. If I could do both at the same time I so would. My hobbies include joking around, lifting big weights, and playing with my beloved PS4. The biggest transition to DC living is definitely the fact I can’t wear shorts year round but I’m loving the diversity here. I never met a happy hour I didn’t like. My greatest weaknesses are boba milk tea, oreo mcflurries and now cake pops made by NCPA. One interesting fact about me: Since I’m so creative with names, I named my first dog “Doggy”. So whenever I played with him it was always “come here doggy”. Yes, no joke!

I went to the University of Washington for undergrad where I double majored in chemistry and biochemistry. After graduation I worked two jobs, one at a hospital pharmacy and the other at Sephora. Even though I may not wear makeup and dress up for school everyday, I love anything and everything GLAM; fake lashes, smokey eye, clip in hair extensions, you name it! I am a makeup/beauty hoarder, meaning I have enough of everything you can think of to glam a whole country. I love eating/trying different foods but steak is probably my favorite. After pharmacy school, I hope to obtain a residency or possibly work for the government. One interesting fact about myself is that I can’t wink my left eye or move my lips to the left side of my face.
Hilina Teferra – Class of 2018
Hometown: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia Birthday: January 7. I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I am a middle child with two brothers. I think being the only girl has helped me surpass the middle child syndrome. I have a very tight knit family, and they live in different parts of the world. I have three uncles living in Australia, so that is one of the many reasons Australia is on top of my ‘places to visit’ list. After finishing high school in Addis, I came straight to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Where else would I have experienced the coldest weather and met the friendliest people? I majored in biology and minored in chemistry at Augustana College. I’m always up for trying new things and love spontaneity. My favorite past time includes leisure reading (I am a huge Harry Potter fanatic), swimming, and pretty much anything that involves eating (especially Ethiopian food).
